Lean Six Sigma Associate

The Lean/Six Sigma Associate will collaborate with the team on a variety of Client based operational projects. Projects may encompass lean and six sigma manufacturing, product quality, new product development, engineering, or supply chain in the form of a due diligence, diagnostic, or implementation. The Lean/Six Sigma Associate interfaces with Clients on site, and may be required to travel up to 75% of the time.
In addition associates assist staff with a variety of internal operational activities including; development of training material, white papers, research, logistics and analysis support for projects. Position pays $75-$85K per year.
Key duties and responsibilites include:
o Apply Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to projects analysis including: Value Stream Maps, Spaggetti diagrams, Line Balancing, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Charts, etc.
o Implement Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement including: 5S, DMAIC, one piece flow, kanban, SMED, etc.
o Apply Supply Chain Knowledge and expertise in the form of: Demand variability, supply chain performance and Inventory management
o Develop statistical models, analyze client data, and develop presentations using MS Office Software & specialist Statistical software (Minitab)
o Interface with, and present to, Client executive boards and Private Equity companies
o Support senior team members in all aspects of project assignments as required
o Project management - development of gantt charts, metric and expense tracking spreadsheets
Skills & Qualifications
o Self motivated with excellent communication skills - able to relate to a broad spectrum of client employees from manufacturing personnel to CEOs
o Technical experience to support engineering / manufacturing assignments
o Ability to comprehend, analyse and solve complex problems using the DMAIC process and structured data driven approach
o Lean Six Sigma Certification required - Green/Black Belt
o Minimum of bachelors degree preferably in an engineering discipline
Experience
o 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or analytical environment required
o Comfortable working with and leading diverse teams toward common objectives
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
