Senior Mechanical Engineer
Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 company that produces diversified products in global markets. Some of its products include welding equipment, automotive components, construction materials and commercial food equipment. The Food Equipment Group, one of eight ITW decentralized business segments, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Warewash Division at its Troy, Ohio facility, located 20 minutes north of the Dayton metropolitan area.
The Warewash Division wants to expand its presence in existing served markets as well as new markets and desires engineering talent to support this growth. The Warewash Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers and our customer base includes nationally known hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools/universities and retail. We are in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support exciting product development initiatives that support business division goals and objectives.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall primarily be responsible for:
Conceiving, planning, designing, developing and coordinating project components including schedules.
Providing leadership and support to team members.
Creating and developing engineering project documentation.
Developing prototypes and test plans; perform validations; troubleshoot and implement product release plans; support sales, service and marketing.
Complete engineering analysis and designs using various engineering tools.
This position may require some travel.
Job Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications:
We are seeking creative and innovative candidates. The preferred minimum qualifications are:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred
5-7 years of mechanical engineering experience
Proven record of designing and implementing successful projects meeting cost, quality and schedule
Project leadership experience
Product design and development experience
Problem solving skills
Ability to execute projects within specified timelines
Knowledge and proficiency in Pro-E software, Creo 2.0 preferred
Preferred qualifications consists of employing competency in mechanical design engineering utilizing analytical tools including, but not limited to 3-D modeling simulations as well as a working knowledge of appropriate regulatory agencies.
