to add to our team! We are seeking a Fuse Plug Specialist for a reputable aerospace company, to join the night shift.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision parts.
The ideal candidate should have a background in CNC machining using both mills and lathes.
Shift Timing:

00PM Monday - Thursday Job Summary Complete the manufacture and assembly of fusible plugs.
This includes complete filling, finishing, assembly, inspection and identification of fusible plugs.
Must be comfortable with working with both small components as well basic machining tools, calipers, micrometers, and heating equipment.
Specific Duties Efficient in set-up of fuse plug workstation and complete operations per established filling procedures Cleaning plugs prior to filling utilizing isopropyl alcohol, acetone, acid, and/or neutralizers Reaming and deburring of plugs prior to filling utilizing drill press Stacking plug bodies onto filling strips to facilitate the filling process Fill plugs with eutectic, utilizing application of flux and heating equipment Reheating of filled plugs to blend out pits or voids in the eutectic Machining the ends of filled plugs using McLean cut-off lathe Dimensional inspection of machined plugs using calipers or micrometers Reworking of filled plugs after machining to remove pits or voids on the eutectic surface Visual inspection of plugs with the aid of surface probes to verify that pits or voids are not present Sanding, buffing, polishing of plugs to remove residual eutectic and/or to deburr sharp or rough edges Utilize thread died or taps to remove residual eutectic Conduct thread inspections with go and/or no-go gages Complete minor assembly of small plug components or protective shipping caps/bags Complete traveler paperwork to record work completed per instructions Performs and/or assists with testing of finished parts or materials as needed Perform other duties as assigned Physical and Mental Demands Fine motor skills when working with small components Ability to sit for long periods of time Must be able to pass vision screening Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and quality Good communication and teamwork skills Perks PTO Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401k Eligible for Production Quarterly Bonuses.
