We offer competitive wages and uplifting work culture! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EMPLOYMENT DISCOVERY SPECIALIST As an Employment Discovery Specialist, you provide individualized opportunities for community inclusion, enhanced independence, and relationship building in work experiences.
You help individuals with disabilities develop the skills that they need to obtain and maintain employment, such as effective communication, acceptable workplace conduct, workplace problem-solving skills, and workplace safety.
You enthusiastically engage with individuals while teaching hard and soft work skills and behaviors.
Providing direct support, you set up and implement people-centered group employment opportunities.
As an advocate, you aid those we serve while always supporting considerations as outlined in each persons' Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Leveraging your strong organizational skills, you accurately document all services rendered.
Additionally, you thoroughly record daily activities, attendance reports, incident reports, and documentation in the BID system for Medicaid reimbursement.
You provide support to individuals for them to effectively participate in day-to-day activities.
This often looks like transporting people to and from work sites, providing necessary personal care, and effectively managing work sites.
Safety is a top priority for you.
As such, you carefully supervise employment sites to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved.

Are you able to work independently as well as with a team? Can you show empathy while maintaining professional boundaries? Are you patient and able to remain calm?
